About Me.
My everyday work is presented here.
Below is who I am and what I do.
Jonny Flynn
Technical Artist & Gameplay Programmer
My name is Jonny Flynn: I live to learn, solve, create and share. I am a Technical Artist and Gameplay Programmer with substantial experience using UE4 in AAA game development.
My passion for maths, art and science combined with an addiction for problem solving and love for games has made me a hard-working and dedicated game developer.
Currently working from June 2020 as a Technical Artist at Studio Gobo: a AAA character-action co-dev studio based in Brighton. I’m currently working with NExT Studios on Synced: Off-Planet – a PvPvE multiplayer shooter game. I previously worked as a Freelance Technical Artist at The Trailer Farm for 3 months working on Game Cinematics, and before that at Splash Damage, a AAA studio, with the role of Technical Artist for 2 years and Gameplay Programmer for 1 year. I was one of the original developers on the Outcasters game that started as a 6 person game jam.
I have extensive experience of all stages of the development pipeline in-regards to both art and tech. I have worked on both Co-Dev projects as well as from the ground up on in-house IPs.
I have a 1st Class Hons degree in Computer Visualisation and Animation at the NCCA, Bournemouth University. This is a course developed after extensive consultation with many of the leading companies in the computer animation, digital special effects and computer game sectors to meet their needs.
